March 2009

I would like to introduce 3 special students. They are Edison Law, Sam Lin and Gordon Wong from 5A. Why are they so special? It is because I’ve been teaching them for 3 consecutive years (from class 3B, 4A and 5A). But the most important point is that: They keep improving in English.

I remembered that Edison was once a small boy (his size is still small up till now), yet he gave me an energetic feeling. He seems to have lots of energy. He looks smart and one of his advantages is that he always wants to do better. His English improves as well. He is such a “cute” little boy.

Sam is a really nice boy with his nice character and nice smile. I can always use a word “peaceful” to describe him. His English was not that good in the old days, but he keeps working, and he earns another 100 marks in his dictation exam. By the way, I would really like to thank him for helping me to organize the borrowing of the English storybooks in his class. Thank you, Sam.

Gordon is a “shy” boy when he is facing something he doesn’t know. During the first year of my observation, he isn’t willing to learn English. He doesn’t dare to face it or doesn’t want to overcome it. But now, after studying the P4 and especially in P5 this year, it seems that he is “braver” and he always asks me questions when he doesn’t understand. He won’t wait for the last second before it’s too late. That’s a real good attitude!

November 2008

I would like to congratulate two students here. I am really proud of them. I think they have tried their very best to achieve an “impossible mission”.

The first boy is Anson Chung from 5A. He is weak in English, having the dictation is one of his weaknesses and the results are usually not too satisfactory.

This year, Anson was promoted to primary 5. Although he may still make mistakes in English, I can see his improvement. He pays more attention during lessons and he asks questions when he doesn’t understand. He pays a lot of effort! He got good grades in English Dictation!

After the 1st term dictation, the average mark of Anson’s dictation is “upgraded” to 75 marks! Well done, Anson! Keep going!

The other boy is LauCheukKit from 5A as well. Due to the unsatisfactory results last year, he has to study in primary 5 again. Although he is still naughty sometimes, I think he has tried his best and prepared well for each dictation.

After the 1st term dictation, the average mark of his dictation is 100! That means he scored 100 marks twice in the usual dictations and another 100 marks in the exam!

Cheuk Kit, you’ve done a great job! Marvelous!

Sept 2008

I would like to introduce all the wonderful boys in 4A this year. They can be divided into different groups:

Peon Poon, Anson Wong, Edwin Chiu, Sam Li, Louis Tang and Thompson Tsang are great. They are the monitors, helpers and class librarians. They help the teacher and pay attention during lessons.

Anson Ng, Ben Pang, Chris Yuen and Dickson Lam are the lunch helpers. Every afternoon, they come out and take all the lunchboxes out in an organized way. Without their help, 4A boys will be very hungry.

We have a “Kevin group”. They are the Quiet Kevin Chan, the Active Kevin Ng and the Tall Kevin Wong. There is a “Jacky group”, too. They are Jacky Chui and Jacky Chung. They are nice boys.

Gary Chan is a responsible boy. Every morning, he takes the Class card without delay. He leads the class in a nice way. His homework are neat and tidy.

Last but not least, we have Matthew Lun, Wind Lau, Vincent Ho, Josh Li, Joshua Ng, Marco Young, Steven Yeung, Parco Tsui, Calvin Lam, Brian Lau, Yukio Tang, Theodore Chan, Sunny Lai, Timothy Ng, Tommy To and Ryan Leung. They are all very special with different characters.

May 2008

We’ve never thought of winning the variety show! The students in 4A have tried their best. They have practiced and practiced. Luckily, they have won! Congratulations!

When I first wrote this story, I designed the characters based on their own special characters and abilities: Kinox and Perrin tried to act like professional footballers. Their voices are clear and with good confidence. They love acting. Matthew and Gordon gave the audience good memories with their special “size” effect and dialogues. The “bad guys” like Owen, Leo and Ryan were excellent. They acted like some real naughty boys and used their voices wisely. They had great performance. William also performed well because nobody could expect that he could act such a serious character. Finally, we have Marco Cheng the emcee and Edward Tong the reporter. They did a good job, too.

I would also like to thank Simon, Benny and Marco Luk. They helped us a lot at the backstage and gave good suggestions to the actors.

Last but not least, I would also like to thank the rest of my 4A students, even though they were not on stage, they did their best by acting like real audiences or reporters. They joined the whole event and made the show wonderful and successful.

April 2008

I would like to introduce some special students in 4A this year.

Take Vicky Chung as an example. Although he is the shortest student in my class, he is very helpful. He always remember to take the class card and line up straight for his classmates. When he is leading his classmates to go upstairs or downstairs, he always walk in an appropriate speed. Moreover, his handwriting is neat and tidy. Teachers can always read his handwriting smoothly.

Brian Leung is another special boy. He is a sporty boy. He is good at playing table-tennis. He is enthusiastic in helping, too. During the lunchtime, you can always find him working busily, serving the lunchboxes in a quick and tidy way.

Gordan Wong is helpful, too. Every morning, he walks to the classroom alone and carries all the exercise books by himself. During lessons, he is also smart enough to know the time that the teacher needs to turn on or off the lights in order to show something on the screen. Furthermore, he is showing improvement in some of his academic work.

Simon Chu is a kind and affectionate boy. He is helpful, smart and polite. His handwriting is nice and clear. He is hard-working and he always tries to finish all his work in a nice and quick way. He is a cheerful boy. When he smiles, you can see his happiness in his eyes. But when he is working, you can also see a serious face.

September 2007

This year, 29 boys are studying in my class. I am proud to say that you boys are energetic and special. Many of you are paying attention and eager to learn. That’s really important.

For example, Marco, Simon, Anson and Jordan, they are attentive and with good behavior.William, Kinox, Edward, Benny, Aubrey, Ryan, Perrin, Owen, Edward and Leo are active and smart, they are willing to answer teachers’ questions and express their ideas.Vicky, Ken, Edison, Justin, Brian, Josh, Sam, Thomas, Matthew, Marco and Gordan are quite quiet. If they can participate more in the classroom activities, bigger improvement can be achieved.

Last but not least, we have Kelvin, Reeves, Walter and Darren. They have great potentials. So, try your very best and you can do it!

I would like to say that the boys in 4A all got different styles and abilities. If you don’t know who they are, just come to 4A and find them out!

January 2007

At the beginning of year 2007, I would like to praise some students who have done well in the last 3 months.

Some students are in high standard. They are good in their conduct or academic performance.

They pay attention during lessons as well. They are Ivor, Donald, Francis, Quincy, Kevin, Vincent, Adrian, Dickson, Adrian, Isaac, Ernest, Dominic, Jasper and TJ. Although they may make mistakes sometimes, they try to work in their highest level. Keep on with your enthusiasm and promote yourselves to another level.

Some students are showing improvement. These boys try their best to improve themselves. What makes me feel touching is that some of them try to read aloud when he is reading! This shows that they are willing to learn! They do not give up.
Although their results may not be as good as the boys mentioned above, or some are improving slowly, their works are still appreciated. They are Oscar, Anson, Eric, Victor, Terence, Derek, Sunny, Ricky, Johnny, Ryan, Johnny, Michael, Jason, Kenneth, Leo and Thomas.

If your name was not on the above list, please don’t give up and always work on your best. Learn from the others and you will be success, too.

Anson and Isaac are the monitors,

They behave well,

And are good helpers.

Ivor, Jasper and Ernest,

Vincent, Dickson and Francis,

They are the prefects,

Work well without defects.

If you want your class to line up in good order,

Look for Michael and Oscar,

They are surely the good leaders.

Adrian and Donald keep the place clean,

Promoting the idea of good hygiene,

Now, they are the inspectors,

Soon, they will be the doctors.

Derek and Christopher are helpful boys,

Without a title,

They still work with joy.

Boys in 4A, try your best,

Study, work hard, get some rest,

Don’t be lazy in your test,

Be the good boys in SJACPS.
